Top 10 Moments in NCAA Tournament History
With March Madness right around the corner, we take a look back at some of the most memorable moments in the history of the NCAA Tournament.
7. UCLA vs. Missouri
Being the top-seed entering the tournament, UCLA had a lot to live up to. Standing in their way was a scrappy Missouri team, who hoped to making a Cinderella run. Down 74-73 with mere seconds on the clock, Bruins coach Jim Harrick opted to give their point guard, Tyus Edney, the last shot rather than collegiate standout Ed O’Bannon. The move paid off, as Edney crossed over a defender, drove to the basket, and adjusted his shot mid-air to bank it off the glass at the buzzer for the win. UCLA rode that momentum all the way to the National Championship. |
