5 Things Apple Desperately Needs to Fix For The Next iPhone

5. Let us delete your freakin’ apps
I bought the 64 gig phone because I knew how much space I was going to use for pictures and apps. But hey, guess what, like 15 gigabytes of that is dedicated to apps I never even touch. I keep them all in a folder on the very last page of my phone’s homepage, and I can probably accurately say that 90% of people reading this do that as well. In fact, this is the first time I’ve looked at that folder since I’ve locked them up in there years ago, and it was just to see how many there are, and if maybe they somehow reproduced (thank god, they didn't). I’m looking at you, Apple Watch app, Compass, iTunes U, News, Books, Podcasts, and of course, Health. Like I care about that. 4. Do people even use Siri anymore? I hear people saying OK Google all the time, but Siri, the once beloved mascot of Apple products has lost her voice. A revamp of Siri would be nice, something to incentivize people to continue using the once revolutionary feature. The appeal and excitement of Siri has faded away, so Apple should #MakeSiriGreatAgain. Maybe give users the option to have Siri randomly blurt out politically incorrect musings from your phone at the most inopportune times. 3. Battery life is still miserable
Low power mode is a lifesaver sometimes, and is a great feature. Maybe it’s just in contrast to low-power mode, but do you ever take it off low-power mode, use it for like twelve seconds, and then just drop like 20% in battery? I swear low-power mode is actually regular power mode, and then they have like ultra-hyperdrive mode as normal. Apple wants our phones to die every 20 minutes so we can keep charging them and then our chargers will break every two weeks so we have to keep buying them and keep putting money in Apple’s pockets. 2. The iPhone is not currently waterproof. We’ve all seen the commercials where Lil Wayne pours champagne on his Samsung Galaxy S7. Why can’t we do that with our iPhones, huh? Sometimes I want to pop champagne, too, Apple. 1. The phones still break way too easily "You need to put a case on your phone." Yeah? Sorry I don't want to carry a brick around. The iPhone 6 and 6 Plus are already massive. Putting a life-proof phone case on it means you might as well be walking around with a brick in your pocket. Or if you’re a girl, you probably don’t even have pockets. Right now, the best solution we’ve really got are the screen protectors. The ones from IntelliArmor are probably your best bet since they actually protect your phones and are thin and unnoticeable. Like seriously, other screen protectors are either flimsy, plastic, little things that just get in the way or they are so thick that your touchscreen phone stops being a touchscreen. We all have that friend who literally cracks her phone every other week. Go on, get them a birthday present. Apple, get it together. If we’re paying $800 for our phones, they better not break from a one foot drop. |
