Top 5 Preseason Picks for NBA Most Valuable Player
September 24th, 2016

The term "Most Valuable" is highly subjective, and yes, stats are glamorous and all but when you get down to the nitty-gritty definition of it, there is a lot more to MVP than just draining buckets. Last year, Steph's ridiculous improvement over an already ridiculous improvement helped lead the Warriors to a historic NBA season. It was an easily justifiable (and correct) pick for MVP, but this year, expect absolute chaos. One thing's for sure, though. A certain "Kevin Durant" won't be anywhere near this list.

2. Steph Curry
I didn't want to put Steph up this high, or even on here altogether, but let’s be real. Even with Kevin Durant, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green, and Andre Iguodala taking away from Steph’s stats, AND Steph not playing most of the second half due to even more blowout games, he will still find a way to blow our minds. The pain of losing last season’s Finals was the equivalent of missing a tap-in to win the Masters… and then missing again. No one wants revenge, scratch that, redemption, more than Steph. |
