The 10 Worst College Majors of 2017

Every year, the job market gets more and more unrecognizable than the previous years. With technology, robotics, and other factors replacing some jobs and creating others, what might have been the most ideal college degree for job prospects five years ago might be completely obsolete now. This is the 2017 version of the worst college majors, based on how likely one is to get a job, the starting salary out of graduation, and the likelihood of job retention and security.

1. Fine Arts
Fine Arts majors have a whopping unemployment rate of 12.6% and a salary of just $30,000. The saying goes “pick a field you love and you’ll never have to work a day in your life.” Unfortunately for Fine Arts majors, it’s probably because that field isn’t hiring.
