With the job market as volatile as ever, the chances of finding a job is factored in just as heavily as starting salaries and mid-career salaries. What good is a degree if you can’t even get a job, right?

9. Exercise Science There is nothing wrong with dedicating one’s life to health and fitness. However, from a financial standpoint, it might not be the wisest choice to dedicate one’s studies to it. With an average starting salary of $36,600 it doesn’t pay off for your pockets as well as it does for your health. On the bright side, the widespread awareness of the importance of exercise and fitness mean that in the future, demand for exercise science majors might increase. Physical therapists are quickly becoming a job of the future.
