With the job market as volatile as ever, the chances of finding a job is factored in just as heavily as starting salaries and mid-career salaries. What good is a degree if you can’t even get a job, right?

5. Graphic Design
On paper, one would assume that graphic design has a positive outlook for the future, especially with tech taking over the world. However, the rapid growth of graphic designers is getting harder for the demand to keep up with. In short, there are too many graphic designers and not enough demand for all of them. The average starting salary is a respectable $40,200, but the projected job growth in the future is a measly 6.2%. Graphic designers who focus their skills and talents towards websites, mobile apps, and other platforms of the future are likely to have more potential success than graphic designers sticking to the ways of the past.
