6. No More Lightning Cable
Apple is rumored to be changing the lightning port to a USB-C port like the one found on the new MacBooks. Supposedly, this will further increase waterproofing. However, many people are skeptical, believing that it might just be another Apple ploy to make more money off dongles.
5. Solar Powered Battery
Solar power is becoming more and more mainstream every year. With the current partnership between Apple and Solar City, many people think that it might be possible that Apple could put a solar panel on the back of the iPhone 8 which would increase battery life by 3-5 times when using the phone outside. With the slow rate of Apple updating their iPhones, however, this does not seem likely for at least a few more iPhone generations.
