8. Edge to Edge Display
With the introduction of the iPhone 7 came the removal of a physical home button. The iPhone 8 will hopefully continue that trend of expanding the usable touch screen. Rumors say that the entire face of the phone will be a single sheet of extremely durable glass, meaning that the home button might be gone altogether. What will this accomplish? Well...
7. Stronger Waterproof Capabilities
Supposedly, the home button will only appear at certain times, making the new iPhone significantly more waterproof. The current iPhone 7 has a water proof rating of IP67, while Samsung's latest phone has a waterproof rating of IP68. Apple will undoubtedly attempt to raise their rating to IP69 for the iPhone 8. Apple plans on achieving this by removing the home button entirely and moving to USB-C.
