3. Alex Honnold
Look at that. No ropes, no harnesses, no magical pillows to save you if you fall. One wrong move and that's it. A misstep, an unstable rock, a sudden breeze... Alex Honnold climbed El Sendero Luminoso (The Shining Path) in about 3 hours. Just take a second to fathom that. 3 hours of non-stop, intense focus just so you don't die. Then you actually have to climb this thing. Watch the video here. Or not. Because my palms were sweating the entire way through. No way I could even start climbing a mountain at this rate.
