Long-gone are the classics like Twinkle Twinkle Little Star or Hot Cross Buns. These days, choir kids are hitting the whip and nae-nae as early as middle school. The choir at Desert Canyon Middle School has the Internet either laughing hysterically or shaking their heads in confusion of what we are becoming. Here is their legendary performance.
What did the choir director have to say for herself?
"The song we sang before this at our concert was an aria from the Handl opera, so it's really important to me to touch on a variety of genres when teaching my middle school students," Andrea Squires said.
