2. Heath Ledger: The Dark Knight
Everyone knows how amazing Ledger is as the Joker. But what some people may not know is how he got inside the mind of a psychopathic killer clown. To prepare, Ledger locked himself in a hotel room for a month, writing deranged thoughts in a journal and practicing different voices. There’s the rumor that in the scene when the Joker crashes Bruce Wayne’s apartment party that Michael Caine was supposed to say a line, but was speechless because it was the first time he had seen Ledger in character. The role ultimately won Ledger an Oscar but cost him his life, but he will forever be remembered for his portrayal of the Clown Prince of Crime. The only thing wrong with this picture is that I have spent months alone in my apartment, and I’ve never even been nominated for an Oscar. This must be exactly how Leonardo DiCaprio feels when he’s snubbed! |
