If Disney Movies Were Historically Accurate

Also, Eddie Murphy was in a decent movie. How realistic is that?

4. Mulan
The heartwarming tale about how a daughter takes the place of her father in battle against the Huns is one we can all relate to.

Just ignore that Mulan didn’t have to take a physical test (which would reveal her lack of a hoo-ha) and that despite everyone knowing who her father was when she told them, they never questioned that he doesn’t have a son or that Mulan looked just like her father’s daughter. And how ugly were the woman in China in 100 AD that absolutely no one questions Mulan’s appearance? They just trust that this person who has no facial hair and muscle definition is the sex that she—sorry, he, says he is. The soldiers share tents, they bathed together (which Disney tip toes around but in reality no one would be that naïve as to not notice they’re in a pond with a girl). Mulan would be found out she was a woman relatively quickly and then promptly executed.

Roll credits.
