2. The Mother Lets Max Go
Absolutely none of the relationships in this show have proven to be perfect, but perhaps the closest one is the tiny glimpse we see of The Mother and her boyfriend Max. As soon as the episode begins, The Mother learns that Max dies while she waits for him at her birthday party. Her story is a heartbreaking one, perhaps capped off by this emotional, heartwrenching "conversation" she has with her deceased boyfriend.
