1. Aokigahara Forest, Japan
Appropriately nicknamed Suicide Forest, this wilderness in Japan has been the place of hundreds of known suicides. Signs throughout the forest plead for the suicidal visitors to turn back and reconsider their intentions. Unfortunately, hundreds still go on with it each year, many of which are rumored to haunt the forest long after their deaths. |
