8. Villanova vs. Georgetown
In 1985, 8-seed Villanova was making a Cinderella run like no other team ever had before. Eventually reaching the National Championship, the Wildcats were pitted against a goliath Georgetown team, with Patrick Ewing at the helm. Despite blowing a decent lead late in the game, Nova was able to hold off the Hoyas’ late run, and escape with a 2-point victory. This game is considered one of the greatest upsets in college basketball history. |
