Most people hate living in dorms, and who can blame them? Usually students are cramped in tuna can sized rooms with no amenities and probably shared with a random roommate that you may or may not get along with. And ugh... who can forget those disgusting community bathrooms. For some lucky students, not all of them are like that. Some are even cool believe it or not. Without further ado, here are ten of the coolest college dorms in the United States.

6. Illinois Institute of Technology
Now this building is as cool as dorms get. Pictured is State Street Village, which is the newest residence hall at IIT. It is actually three separate buildings, each one being five stories tall. The unique look really makes it stand out from other dormitories across the country. However, when you consider that Illinois Tech's entire campus is ranked as one of the two hundred most significant works of architecture in the entire country, then this residence hall just becomes an everyday thing for Illinois Tech's students. |
