5. Amsterdam, Netherlands
Now we know what you're thinking: "there's no way this will fly with my parents." Yes, Amsterdam may be known primarily for two things, neither of which are (entirely) legal in the United States, but this city has hundreds more to offer. The city is gorgeous, full of history, and a good starting point to study abroad, as 90% of the Dutch population speaks English. The people are friendly, and there is no shortage of activities to fill up your time. 4. London, United Kingdom A city historically renowned for its global importance in almost every field imaginable, nothing will bolster a resumé quite like studying abroad in London. That obviously is not the only reason to study in this incredible city. While a bit pricier than most other destinations in Europe, London is well worth it. You will always have something new to do, see, eat and experience. 3. Sydney, Australia Visiting the land down under is quite the experience. It is like a completely different world. The natural beauty of Australia will captivate you. Sydney is a wonderful home base if you were to study abroad in Australia, but make sure to see as much of what Australia (and New Zealand, if you can) has to offer as possible. 2. Barcelona, Spain When it comes to culture, very few places can do it like Barcelona can. The food, nightlife, and especially the people are unlike anywhere else in Europe or the world. After class, head on over to one of Barcelona's many beaches. Let's hope you don't have any morning classes so you can properly experience Barcelona's legendary nightlife. Don't expect to go to bed any earlier than 6 AM if you do decide to hit up any of Barcelona's top-notch clubs. 1. Prague, Czech Republic
A city rich in culture, history, and especially nightlife, Prague is the ultimate destination for those who want to study abroad. While Prague is not as recognizable as most of the other names on this list, it cannot be stressed enough how much Prague has to offer. Its central European location also allows for easy travel to other European destinations. When it comes to getting a life-changing experience, Prague is the place to be. |
