Shark attacks result in about ten deaths per year. Sharks are only fifteenth on this list. Number one on the list kills over 270,000 times more humans than sharks do... So what animal takes the top spot? Bears? Lions? Nope. Which animal it is may shock you.

3. Snake (20,000-94,000 Deaths Per Year)
The slithery creature comes it at 3rd on this list, with its attacks resulting in around 20,000 reported deaths each year. However, considering that tens of thousands of cases go unreported, especially in African and Asian villages, that number is expected to be as high as 94,000. The venomous creature is one of the world's most dangerous animals. While most species are harmless, there are many species out there that are more than capable of killing.
