2. Theodore Roosevelt
You knew he would be on this list, you were just waiting for where. Don’t be fooled that the cute and cuddly teddy bear is named after this guy; he was badass to the core. He did so many badass (or just impressive things) that the opening line of his Wikipedia article reads: “Theodore Roosevelt was an American statesman, author, explorer, soldier, naturalist, and reformer who served as the 26th President of the United States, from 1901 to 1909.” BEING PRESIDENT OF THE US IS LITERALLY AN AFTERTHOUGHT! Roosevelt was once scheduled to give a speech but was shot. Instead of going to the hospital like a normal person, he gave the speech anyways, with the bullet wound bleeding at a decent rate. Just to put that into perspective, I have called into work sick because I thought I may be getting a headache and skipped class because it was raining. Like JQA, Roosevelt kept odd pets in the White House; only his pets included a bear, a hyena, a lion and snakes. At the age of 51, he rode a horse 100 miles because he heard a Rough Rider (the badass volunteer mobile army) complaining about having to ride 25. He carried a gun on him at all times. Teddy died in his sleep, and as one politician of the time put it, "Death had to take him sleeping, for if Roosevelt had been awake there would have been a fight.” Best Quote: “If you could kick the person in the pants responsible for most of your trouble, you wouldn't sit for a month.”
