Top 10 Smartest Colleges of 2013
Lumosity, a brain training and neuroscience research company, released its second annual ranking of the smartest students in America. They analyze 72,000 undergraduates’ results of their well-known brain exercises and training games to come up with their ranking. Obviously, this is just one of the many ways to come up with the rankings, but it’s still something to be proud of! Here are the top ten. Some of them will surprise you.
5. Carnegie Mellon University
The private research university in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, while ranked 42nd and 23rd on Forbes and U.S. News lists, stands strong at 5th on Lumosity’s list. Among the alumni, you’ll find countless Nobel laureates, Turing Award recipients, National Medal of Science recipients, and many other prestigious people. While computer science and engineering are its strongest points, CMU is a great institution all-around, ranking 4th in finance, 7th in economics, and 10th overall by the Wall Street Journal.
