So for months leading up to the release of the film, Luke Skywalker was rumored to have been on the Dark Side, or even was Kylo Ren himself (quick sidenote: Kylo Ren is a badass). But after seeing the film (and barely seeing Luke), it appears those fears can be put to rest. Or are they? Here are four possible theories for Luke Skywalker for Episode VIII.

2. Luke Is Already on the Dark Side
Not only is he already on the Dark Side, but he is the head honcho. Maybe he’s even General Snork, just using a fake image in the holograms. But that’s not even the craziest part. What if he is controlling Kylo Ren? Kylo has shown signs that he doesn’t fully believe in the First Order’s goals, and that he is tempted by the Light Side. It is likely that it is Luke controlling Ren’s actions, playing his mind like a puppet.
