3. UNC vs. Michigan
In 1993, the Michigan “Fab Five” looked unstoppable. Rolling through opponents left and right to reach the National Championship Game, they looked poised to take down UNC as well. However, they found themselves trailing the Tar Heels by 2 with just seconds left on the clock. Trapped in the corner with the ball, Michigan’s Chris Webber panicked and called a time-out… but they had already used their last. This resulted in a technical foul, handing UNC the win. The Wolverines’ entire season was later vacated due to improper benefits received by Webber. |
