As amazing as The Force Awakens was, it left us hungering for more. So many questions were left unanswered. JJ Abrams said that the script for Episode 8 is so good, that he is upset that he won't be the one directing it. I'll take his word for it, but I do hope it incorporates all five of these things that we Star Wars fans desperately want to see in the next movie.

2. Kylo Ren falls in love with Rey but without the cheesy George Lucas dialogue
The original trilogy had the Luke-Leia-Han love triangle before it just became a ball of incest. Finn and Rey are already pretty close, and Poe has the charm to win Rey over, but what we really want to see is some dark side-light side mingling. As long as there’s no lines about sand being coarse and getting everywhere, I’ll be okay with any romantic subplot. But still shipping Ren-Rey. Unless the theory that Rey is actually Han Solo's daughter is true, in which case... awkward. |
