Why This Whole Incident in Gilford Has Been Unnecessarily Blown Up

Really? Was it truly shocking? Was it wrong? If by concerned dad you mean confrontational and hostile parent who was put in his place, then no, actually, I am not shocked at all.
Let's read what some current and former Gilford High students have to say about this. Unlike other media outlets, I will post whatever I see and not just whatever fits my beliefs and ulterior motive. (Names have been blurred out to protect the privacy of the students.) Many responses were just pure anger, disgust, and frustration
Some students defended Gilford High School. There were a few who supported the arrested parent.
And some just took a step back, inspected the situation, and decided that it was too absurd of a situation to even take seriously.
Sorry, it's not a joke.
Hopefully this straightens out a few of the unfairly misconstrued perceptions of the Gilford School District, their education system, and the law enforcement that serves the community. Let's dream of the day where "journalists" try to get a full story instead of taking thirty seconds out of context for a juicy, but bullshit, article. Hopefully Gilford's unwelcome fifteen minutes, or in this case, Nineteen Minutes of fame, do not last.. For everyone's sake. |
